I have NO CLUE about this subject I'm taking! No! Zip! None! Nothing! The lecturer was talking about it and I swear I was clueless and I think everyone else was pretty much clueless like me.

I hate law.

It is really really really boring. Oh gosh... the different legislations, numerous parliamentary acts, perfect and sophisticated English language. The Acts are so ridiculously funny, trillions of acts, some more broken down to 5-6 sections.

I am so going to suck at this unit!!

Imagine what the law students are going through right now just gives me the shivers, dealing with Acts and legislations every single time. But then, they might argue that dealing with credit and debit or journals and statements is far worst. LOL

The lecturer herself is as boring as the subject! She talks in the same tone ALL THE TIME!! And mumbles ALOT!! She wasn't talking clearly. I couldn't get what she was talking about so I didn't pay attention to her.

A funny story.

She forgot our lectures goes for two hours and cramped the two hour lecture into the one hour. Ahaha... And when everyone told her, she tried to cover it up by saying "People with questions can stay back for the next hour" But of course everyone left.

But Tut's awesome! I love all my Tuts! Too bad it only goes for an hour. Yah.. time flies when ur having fun. Oh yeah... there's hot guys in my Tut. *winks*

First day @ Uni

First Day of Uni!! It was AWESOME!! Cannot express enough how great it was!! Oh gosh.. like everyone I met at Orientation was at my lecture! Of course I met new people, but overall it was great!

Today's lecture was Micro and Accounting. Superb. Ahahaha....... I started to laugh like that since talking to Helen! LOL. Both lecturers were alright. They weren't very boring but weren't great either. As I said, they were alright. The Micro lecturer was Korean, but not like those boring Asian lecturers. He's got an American and Aussie accent. He was funny! Hilarious.. At one point, his mic went down and his power point stop working.. LOL. How we laugh!

Accounting was ok. The lecturer printed out handouts for us.. so very kind of her!! We had to do this lecture exercise and like I struggled with simple Accounting theory, as in the Accounting elements. I'm like CRAP! I HAVE NO CLUE!! But I got them right anyway. I just had a brain meltdown. My brain is just a bit rusty but with some polishing I'll get back to my normal brain. And they change the term "Profit and Loss statement" to "Income Statement"! How stupid is that name?? Ahahaha.....

And I joined MACS! Monash Accounting and Commerce Society! See Alka, I wasn't kidding!! LOL. Initially I was going to join ECSS which is Economics and Commerce something something . But I like the name MACS better than ECSS. And it has the cheapest joining fee compared to the rest.

Uni life would be great!!

I was on the train to campus b4 lecture starts and I saw this poster on the train.

Better to be an unofficial somebody than an official nobody. Very inspiring and motivating. Will be my motto this year!! Take care.. Acc tutorial tomorrow! I cannot wait!!

My mum being stupid.

I've been going on a couple of trials for Italian or Greek businesses.

The last one was a take away Italian shop and previous one was for a Greek fruit shop. And this other Italian restaurant at Glenny.

And my bestie, Saz is Greek! I've been spending too much time with her family.

Mum just goes.... Why don't u marry an Italian or Greek instead??

I just stared at mum. Italian/Greek? lol..... asif.

First, I'm Chinese and I don't speak Italian or Greek. Secondly, I hate Italian Greek food. And thirdly, my family (extended family) would be annoyed at me if I didn't marry an Asian, actually Chinese. Believe me, my Aunt specifically told me to find a Chinese as a husband, like puhlezz.. (Reminds me of The Big Fat Greek Wedding) Lastly, I can't stand Greek or Italian accent.

I still prefer Asians tho...

But inside my head: Not a bad idea mum. If I start dating one, it's all ur fault!!

MEL-BOURNE

I hate how the Americans pronounce Melbourne. Gives me shudders when I hear it!

Was listening to Ryan Seacrest every Sunday on Fox (broadcast all the way from the States of course!) When they were talking about capital cities across the globe receiving this broadcast, and then they came to Melbourne.

And I swear it was not said the way it should be, calm and relax way.

As in MEL-B-EARNE. See the -EARNE bit at the end. The Americans say it like MEL-B-OOOURNE. They emphasize too much on the Ourne bit! As in Bourne in "The Bourne Identity". And saying it in a very strong firm tone. Kinda annoying.

And once this visiting youth pastor from Seattle, Washington came as a guest speaker, he also made the mistake.

Oh gosh.... C'mon. It's MEL-B-EARNE.

Americans will be Americans. Get it right, Americans!
Oh well, can't blame them. I'm sure we probly get most of the American States wrong like Illinois or Wyoming or Missouri or Massachusetts or Tennessee or Louisiana.

Clean vote!!

OMGosh... a clean vote! That wasn't supposed to happen guys!! U guys were supposed to decide for me!! Not make me think over again!!

I'm talking about the polling booth at the far end right column. Now I really cannot decide to get rid of my fringe or keep it. I really can't! My fringe is getting longer and I can't decide for myself to keep it or not.

All through my life, I had a fringe.

Amazing huh?? My mum ALWAYS cut a fringe for me when I was young. It's just this time my fringe look better than in primary school or high schooling in Malaysia. lol.....

Come to think of it, my hairstyle is the same for the past 4 years. It's always on the safe side. Fringe and layered. I never did anything wacky to it like cut it extremely short or go wild with colours. Infact, I never dyed my hair. EVER! Don't see the need for it. Natural is the best!!!

I was talking to my high school mates and they are like "Of course I remember u... the girl with glasses and straight black hair!" Looks like I left a good impression of myself! lol.....

I am very proud of me hair!! And don't ever dare talk me into dyeing my hair!!

AR-KER-AO-TING

Just back from oxygen encounter. It was alright, I was a lil' freak out at first but dear Manda came to my rescue. Phew... thank you Manda. If not of u I would be lost and alone.

Met a few new people. The music was too loud that I couldn't remember what they were saying. My brain sorta received it and then gone in a bang!! I should complain about the distracting music.

One thing I hate is telling people my course. It's not that I'm embarrassed about my course, it's just sooooo hard to pronounce it. Every single time I explain it I get tongue tied. Even saying Accounting is tough enough. Especially the Acc in Accounting. Is it said as AR-KER-AO-TING or ER-KI-AO-TING or AK-KOU-TING or EK-KI-AU-TING.

I'm doing double degree right? And get this, once I say Accounting, everyone just goes arh..... without allowing me to finish the sentence. So very annoying. And MOST people, repeat MOST people just look away and continue talking to others or doing their stuff once I say Accounting.

HALLOW... I haven't finish telling u yet.

But I still continue the "Banking and Finance" bit. By then, everyone would be doing their stuff and not listening to me. So it's almost like telling people u're doing Accounting only. But infact ur not.

The worst part is the slash bit. Accounting/(this slash) Banking and Finance. lol... And it is such a long word that I jumble and put the whole word everything together in like a second. Every time I would hesitate, take and deep breath and then continue. And there's no shorter method of saying it. How do u cut accounting into a short word? Well.. Acc is the written short form method. But how do u say it???? ARK?? It has no meaning at all. And any short way of saying Banking and Finance?? lol..... tell me if anyone know! I would like to call it BF.. haha.. Might try that next time someone ask me! lol...

Economics is hard to pronounce too.... haha but that's another story. E-KO-NO-MICS or A-KO-NE-MICS or E-KE-NO-MICS or A-KE-NE-MICS. LOL... Yes I think too much!

But I'm proud of my course!! YAY!! O-Day tomorrow!!! I am SO very excited I'm going to explode!! lol...... *BOMB*!

What happened this week?

I missed out on Hillsong tickets!! It's all my fault! Really! Leaving everything to the VERY last minute. Should be responsible for everything and accept my punishment.

TBH, I don't really want to go. But in the end, I changed my mind. My typical indecisiveness!

Oh well, at least that spot is given to someone else who (I'm sure) will have the most fantastic and awesome time ever!! Phew, blew me away during the last Hillsong concert! I'm sure it will totally change that somebody's life! For sure!!

And, I saw this dress at this shop at Forest Hill Chase!! OMGosh.......I LOVE IT SO VERY MUCH!! It's purple, floral, silky flowing dress!! Spaghetti straps, knee length and I love love the cut!! Really gorgeous!! I was staring and looking at it for almost 15 minutes and the shop assistant asked me to try it on!! And it fits me very nicely! lol...

HOWEVER!! It cost a whopping 60 bucks! Not expensive for a dress like that! A dress like that normally cost more than 100 bucks! BUT! Keeping in mind I'm a uni student, I promised myself to save up! So much for a money saver huh?

I'm starting to like shopping with mum. Yeah, saw that dress while shopping with mum. Generally, I don't like buying clothes with mum. Oh yeah, trust me the amount of argument over a top is too much to handle!

But I love going shopping with mum for accessories like bags, shoes, jewelry, ornaments. Mum's got her own distinctive style and taste. It's different to mine but I think it's good to get a different opinion once in a while! I know what to get her for her birthday now!!

Oh yeah, I've got new neighbors! Abit curious.... been peeking and spying at them.

Thank God for Mozilla Firefox Spell check! I've been using to much spell check! It's a bit worrying! But meh...... Embrace technology! It makes people dumber but that's technology in a nut shell!!

Sometimes I hate Valentines Day so early in the year.
FEBRUARY! Uni hasn't even started! U don't get that chance to meet new people! And those "past crushes" would be so last year by February! U'll be over them by February so what's the point of Valentines Day when u don't have someone to express love to???

It should be like May or September. Well, I guess it's good in a way that Vday is February so u don't feel pressured to reveal ur love or do something stupid that would be a huge regret later down the track.

Anyway thats my take on VDay.

Job Searching

I went for a trial at an Italian takeaway on Burke Street. It didn't work out well, but meh.. I don't really want it anyway.

Been job searching lately. Handing in numerous Resumes on line. And now I fkn need a Job Seeker ID from Centrelink! How hectic can this be?? I really can't be bothered. Really felt like giving up but it wouldn't help a bit would it?

What did I do in the city??
I went to the State Library to look at books (yes, Alka mock me!) while waiting for mum and dine out at China Town with mum. And can't resist Little Collins Street! So mum and I walk with eyes open at the boutiques on Little Collins.

Sleepover @ Sarz

Happy CNY!!!

Sleepover @ Sarah's! It was soooo fun!! We opened the magical silver baton! And read stuff (more like secrets) we wrote way back in yr 11! It was fun!! We had this "spiritual" ceremony that sounded really scary for cutie Sakura! Then, we burnt all of it and dance around the bonfire like red Indians with Alka's funny hum....... hum.......... And Sakura's cute and random "silent" And Alka's Scottish accent! She's just confused about her heritage I think!!

Oh Gosh, we laugh till we cried!

It was awesome!

The Nanny Diaries is a good film. I wouldn't say excellent but good. And we actually got some sleep this time round probly because Alka's not here to pressure is to stay awake. Then second film, The School of Scoundrels was a much excellent movie! Thank God Suz and Sarz persuaded me to stay. It had an unexpected ending! I'm sure to promote it from now on!!

And I fell in love with Milky, Sarz's cat! It is soooooo cute!! I was like patting it and tickling it! And hugging it!! I think it got scared of me and kept running away from me!! Sarz got the most loving animals ever! I finally found love with animals!! lol.... I hate animals and I still do! Milky and Junior is just too cute to resist!!

And guess what? I finally cleaned up my VCE stuff. lol.. Kept it for almost 3 months after the exam! It was abit weird looking at the papers, exercises, notes, more notes from VCE. A whole year of hard work going down the bin. Abit sad, but happy it's over!! What's done is done!!! Relief I must say....

Alka's going to NSW. She's going to Charles Sturt Uni to do pharmacy. I feel sad. Don't leave, Alka. Kinda ironic coz I was the one who encouraged u to leave. But, now I don't want u to go. I only said that because it's the best option of the 3 options u have. It was an honest answer.

And I guess it is the best for u. Darwin's definitely is out of ur mind and doing Science at Monash would be a second best alternative but not guaranteed a spot in pharmacy later down the track. Besides, its time to grow up and be independent. And NSW is a great place to live and learn.

But I still don't want u to leave.

Seriously Alka, ur the first person I ever talk to since I moved to MWSC way back in Yr 10. I remember it was English near the portables. I was alone and u said Hi. I still remember it so vividly because that was the day that our friendship blossom. Without us realising our friendship grew bigger, expanding wider.

Yeah, I admit there are times where u piss me off. I even can state them one by one. The classic James Saga (lol), how u brag about Li in Accounting, argueing about how accounting can be fun, when u broke ur promise to tell me ur school crush (this was in accounting too). And even the petty ones. Like when u blamed me that u accidentally broke the crucible in Chem when it was all ur fault, or ur annoyed when I fail to meet ur requirement.

Oh.. I really don't want u to leave now. But u would beat me up if I ask u to stay because I was the one who talked u and insisted u on going to NSW. We can still communicate online or through mail. Or I could always go up to NSW and we can spend summer there.

No Ang Pao for me.

CNY in 3 days! Hmph! Haven't been really celebrating CNY for almost 4 years. Everytime, we just celebrate at a Chinese Restaurant or a simple dim sum feast.

And one thing I'm so annoyed about is no Ang Pao money! Not even from my parents! How sad is that?? My Aunts and Uncles also didn't give us pre-CNY Angpao when I go back to Malaysia!! Sad... My parents treat us like adults! Just imagine 4 years of Angpao money!!

Four! Four!

Seems like I'm exaggerating here but just imagine. What if I get married next year, which is highly unlikely, those 4 years of Angpao is very precious u know. In case u don't really understand Chinese tradition, Angpao is mostly given to unmarried and single person by a married person. Doesn't matter how old u are, if ur STILL single, ur untitled to a red Ang Pao with cash in it of course!!

There goes my red pocket!!

By the looks of it, I won't be getting any more Angpao for the rest of my life. Forget about hoping for one next year or the year after that. My Angpao money stops when I'm 15. And I'm still VERY MUCH single. *cries*

Happy 18 Alka!

Yesterday was Alka's surprise birthday party cum "accounting meet up". Sarah and I organized it as we never really celebrated Alka's birthday and this time it's her 18th! And 18th birthday's are really important! So we decided to make this memorable for her! Besides, she might be going off to NSW soon...

It was all going as planned! The cupcakes turn out prettier and tastier than I thought thanks to Sarah's mum's cupcakes recipe! Maybe the candles make the cupcakes look good. We got free Pancake Parlour vouchers! We sang her the prefect Birthday song! It was all good! And most importantly, the birthday girl was happy!

So great to meet everyone especially Wikum, Rohan, and Azeem. Azeem's still as talkative as ever (which is a good thing). Rohan's grown since the last time I saw him, but STILL shorter than me! Wikum still is the same, funny and childlike!
